INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EXCELLENCE AWARDS (ITEA) 2026 is a prestigious global platform recognizing outstanding innovation, leadership, and impactful contributions in the field of Information Technology. The awards celebrate researchers, academicians, industry leaders, and startups who are driving digital transformation and technological advancement. By honoring visionary individuals and organizations, the platform promotes collaboration, innovation, and solutions that shape a smarter, connected, and sustainable digital future. This distinguished initiative is organized in association and collaboration with the First International Conference on Data Intelligence and Smart Communications (IC-DAIS), Bangalore Integrated Management Academy (BIMA), Bangalore, India; Brainware University, Kolkata, India and Hirasugar Institute of Technology, Nidasoshi, Belgaum, Karnataka, India.

Award Categories

  1. Fortress IT Security Award 

    The Fortress IT Security Award is one of the most respected honors in the information technology industry.   3. AI Innovation of the Year Award 
    The AI Innovation of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has personally designed, built, or deployed an impactful artificial intelligence or machine learning solution in a real-world context. This recognition is reserved for practitioners whose AI work has gone beyond research and into reality solutions that have been deployed, adopted by real users, and proven to create meaningful outcomes. From automating complex processes to transforming entire workflows, this award celebrates the professional whose AI work makes a genuine and lasting difference.
  4. BIG IT Innovation Award 
    The BIG IT Innovation Award celebrates an individual who introduced a bold, genuinely new idea in information technology and had the skill and determination to bring it to life. This award is open to professionals at any career level and covers all areas of IT software, platforms, processes, tools, and services. Job title and seniority do not matter here. What matters is the quality of the idea, the reality of its execution, and the impact it created. If you challenged the way things were done and proved a better way works, this award is for you.
  5. Data Intelligence Leadership Award
    The Data Intelligence Leadership Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional ability to transform raw data into real business decisions and outcomes. In today’s data-driven world, professionals who can collect, process, analyze, and communicate data insights with clarity and speed are among the most valuable people in any organization. This award celebrates the data professionals engineers, analysts, scientists, and leaders who refine information into intelligence and intelligence into action.
  6. Digital Transformation Impact Award
    The Digital Transformation Impact Award is presented to an individual who personally led, drove, or delivered a meaningful digital transformation helping an organization move from outdated systems and manual processes to modern, efficient, digital ways of working. It covers the full spectrum of IT products enterprise software, developer tools, security platforms, cloud services, and productivity applications and celebrates the individual craft, ingenuity, and dedication that makes a product genuinely stand out from everything else on the market.
  8. Women in Technology Leadership Award
    The Women in Technology Leadership Award celebrates an outstanding woman making a significant and lasting personal impact in the world of information technology. Whether leading engineering teams, building transformative products, driving digital strategy, or actively advocating for a more inclusive tech industry, the winner of this award is a role model who demonstrates through her own work and character that diverse leadership makes technology better for everyone. This is an individual award, recognizing a person her work, her leadership, and her impact.
  9. IT Startup Disruptor Award
    The IT Startup Disruptor Award recognizes an individual founder, co-founder, or early-stage technology builder who has created something genuinely disruptive a product, platform, or approach that challenges the established way of doing things and opens up new possibilities in the IT industry. This is an individual award. It honors the person: the bold thinker who identified the gap, built the solution, and had the courage to take it to market when the outcome was far from certain.
  10. CIO / IT Leader of the Year Award
    The CIO / IT Leader of the Year Award is the most prestigious individual recognition in the IT industry. It is presented to a CIO, CTO, IT Director, or senior IT executive who demonstrated extraordinary personal leadership over the past year someone who aligned technology with business goals, built a high-performing team, delivered results that the entire organization felt, and set a standard for what truly great IT leadership looks like. This award goes beyond technical expertise. It recognizes vision, people leadership, strategic courage, and the ability to drive meaningful change in the face of real complexity.
  11. Advanced Data Systems Excellence Award
    Recognizes excellence in developing robust database systems, optimized storage architectures, and intelligent data management solutions that enhance performance and scalability.
  12. Generative AI Application Excellence Award
    Honors innovative implementations of generative AI and large language models that enhance decision-making, automation, and intelligent digital services.
  13. Enterprise Digital Transformation Award
    Honors professionals and organizations that successfully leverage enterprise platforms such as ERP and SAP technologies to drive digital transformation and operational excellence.

Award Selection Process

  1. Nomination Phase
    Eligibility: Individuals, teams, institutions, and organizations demonstrating outstanding contributions in research, innovation, leadership, or social impact are eligible.
    Nomination Submission: Nominations may be submitted by self, peers, academic institutions, or industry organizations via the online form.
    Supporting Documents:
    Curriculum Vitae / Institutional Profile
    Summary of Achievements
    Evidence of Impact (publications, patents, projects, citations, awards, community service, etc.)
  2.  Screening & Shortlisting
    The IC-DAIS committee conducts an initial screening to ensure that all submitted nominations meet the eligibility criteria and are complete. Shortlisted entries are forwarded to the Selection Committee for detailed evaluation. The selection committee comprises of advisory chair, Program chair, Technical Program chair and Organizing Chair of IC-DAIS 2026.
  3.  Evaluation Criteria
    Each nomination is assessed based on:
    Innovation & Originality
    Leadership & Influence
    Impact on Society / Industry / Academia
    Sustainability & Long-Term Contribution
    Collaborations & Mentorship
    Publications, Patents, and Recognitions (if applicable)

  4. Judging Process

    Nominations are reviewed by a distinguished panel of former CIOs, executive search leaders, and enterprise technology advisors. Judges evaluate individual leadership track record, business impact, team outcomes, and strategic vision based on written submissions and, where applicable, peer reference letters.

  5. Final Selection
    Scores and feedback are consolidated, and top-scoring candidates in each category are selected for awards.
    In cases of ties or special circumstances, the organizing committee may recommend Honorary Mentions or Special Jury Awards.
  6.  Winner Recognition and Benefit
    Winners are formally announced during the Award Ceremony, held in conjunction with the First International Conference on Data Intelligence and Smart Communications (IC-DAIS). Awards include a  Certificate of Excellence, and media coverage.
